The last news/releases we saw between Falcom and XSEED were Cold Steel I & II, Ys Memories of Celceta port for PS4, and that's it, been total silent since then. After the success of the '']'' trilogy and the '']'' duology, Creator/'' and ''Zwei'' games. And when Ys Origin was ported again to XONE & PS4, Vita and Switch, the team handling the port was DotEmu, not XSEED either. In addition, few key members from localization team of Cold Steel I & II also left XSEED to continue working on CS3-4 with NISA also. Or something (or many) controversy between internal staffs, like who was let go, who just left, who angered whom and such.īut in the end you can see something wrong did happen between XSEED and Falcom, as NISA is in complete charge of Falcom games from Ys VIII onward regardless it being consoles or PC port. ![]() But it just halted there, there is no the backstory or the aftermath, just pure silence. One example I heard is that Kondo-san (head of Falcom) was not pleased with XSEED not bringing Dual Audio for next Cold Steel in the first place, then a member of XSEED went on twitter denied that they actually loved to do Dual Audio. ![]() Originally posted by WildDogTC (he/him):Is there some drama between the two that I'm not aware of? Yes there was, and long ago, yet just mostly rumors and heard, not that many clear evidences, there do be people who knew, but they won't discuss about it either, the rest is presumption.
